This week I concentrated on doing the Carmichael field test and the functional power test. The good news is that in both tests power was up—a whopping 1%. I am sure that is within the expected error of both tests.
Whether it was actually an improvement in power or just noise, it changes my training for the next several weeks. Instead of jumping into power intervals I will continue to do threshold work for the next month before starting power intervals. I will post my training plan for October and November next week assuming I figure out how.
Other than doing power tests this was a rest week still I finish it with a negative TSB.
Totals for the week: Total workout 9.0 hrs, 113 miles, 3170 Kcal and TSS of 387.
