Completed my last ride before leaving for Atlanta at 3am tomorrow. At the risk of being embarrassed later, my legs feel great.
Today's ride was the end of a 55 week training plan starting in August 2011 with six weeks of pre-base just to get me in enough shape to start a training program. I was in pretty poor shape after the bike accident.
In all I rode 8005 miles. If I had known I was so close to 8,000 miles I would have ridden a little longer today just to make sure. That is 667 hours of training of one form or another including yoga, lifting, and Pilates.
I think I am fully recovered from the accident and am excited to get this ride underway.
