Training for an Ironman at 68

The summer has come and gone and I really have let my fitness slip.  Now I have to rebuild everything and get AT LEAST ten pounds off--and that will only get me back to the weight I was racing last year.  And I considered that weight seven pounds too much.

It is not like I haven't been working.  Much of September has been rebuilding enough endurance to sustain a full training schedule.  I have babied my running trying to get the Achilles tendinitis cured but I still have it.  I will see Mark Plaatjes soon and hopefully he can help.
